Future of Financial Services – Breakfast with BDO

BDO Serbia and BDO Austria, together with the commercial department of the Austrian Embassy in Serbia - Advantage Austria, organised a professional gathering dedicated to the digital transformation of future financial processes. Present-day accounting challenges and innovative solutions were presented to approximately 70 businessmen.

The gathering was opened by Ms Erika Teoman Brenner, a commercial consultant at Advantage Austria. Afterwards, Ms Branka Markovic, a Tax&Outsourcing partner at BDO Serbia, addressed the attendees highlighting the importance of quick acquisition of new knowledge and continuous innovation of practical processes for the purpose of conducting more efficient, more productive and more competitive business.

Herbert Pock, Managing Director at BDO Consulting, also addressed the gathering and introduced the idea and content of the BDO CEE regional initiative started off for the purpose of providing support to clients operating in Central and Eastern Europe and a wider region. Thanks to the knowledge of the local environment and economic circumstances and knowledge and experience exchange at the regional and global level, BDO is able to offer a wide range of services and responses to complex questions. One of the results of the said initiative is the cooperation between BDO Austria and BDO Serbia on the introduction of an innovative solution to the automatisation of accounting practices to the Serbian market, which has been developed by a professional team at BDO Austria. The presentation was held by Jürgen Stranimaier, Managing Director at BDO Austria, an IT engineer and a tax advisor, a finance digitalisation process expert, a leader of an IT accountants team that has grown from 2 to 40 people for the last two years. Jürgen Stranimaier highlighted the main, present-day accounting challenges and problems and provided practical responses to how to perform the automatisation of accounting processes. During the presentation opinions on the current practice and the inevitable need for the adjustment and improvement of accounting processes were exchanged with the attendees.
